Elevate Hotel Group is led by Founder Dev Ahir, whose lifelong connection to hospitality has shaped the company’s vision and management philosophy. Growing up in a 35-room motel in San Bernardino, California, Dev gained early exposure to the hospitality industry. From observing front desk operations to understanding the daily responsibilities of running a motel, he developed a deep appreciation for guest service and operational efficiency. Under the guidance of his father, Dev learned the fundamentals of hospitality management including property operations, customer service, and the discipline required to manage a successful hotel business.

Dev’s entrepreneurial mindset developed at a young age. At just 15 years old, he launched his first small business by purchasing a vending machine and managing it independently. From purchasing inventory to tracking sales and maintaining operations, this early venture sparked his passion for business and entrepreneurship.
Determined to expand his knowledge, Dev later attended the University of California, Riverside, where he earned a degree in Economics with a concentration in Marketing. His academic education combined with hands-on motel experience provided a strong foundation for understanding both the operational and business sides of hospitality. Today, Dev leads Elevate Hotel Group with a focus on identifying hotels and motels across Southern California and transforming them into modern boutique hospitality destinations.
